Brent Patterson and Kathy Rubin bring decades of mortgage experience to American Mortgage Solutions. They've worked both sides of a loan: advising clients up front and managing the details behind the scenes. For our clients, that means peace of mind, knowing someone is watching every step and spotting obstacles early, so the loan can close smoothly.
Our experience includes construction lending, FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, Jumbo, DSCR, Bank Statement loans, renovation financing, manufactured housing, and other specialized mortgage programs. That depth of knowledge allows us to look beyond a single loan product and help you understand the choices available to you.

He helps families make informed home-financing decisions with clear guidance, thoughtful loan strategies, and a focus on long-term goals. For Brent, generational wealth is personal. As a husband, father, grandfather, and caregiver for his elderly parents, he sees how thoughtful financial decisions can benefit more than one generation. He spent 19 years in Plano and has called East Texas home since 2015.

Kathy Rubin is a Mortgage Strategist based in San Antonio, serving families throughout Texas and licensed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. She helps clients navigate everything from straightforward purchases and refinances to construction, manufactured housing, and complex financing. Coming from a military family, Kathy has a personal connection to those who serve—her father and brother both served in the military. That connection, combined with her extensive VA financing experience, has made helping veterans and military families a deeply meaningful part of her career.
